A Bed & Breakfast is a unique accommodation in someone else's home. Warm, personalized experience, lively yet unimposing atmosphere, unique ambiance, delightful breakfast and general courteous friendliness among guests and hosts are part of our approach to offering a B&B experience. Our goal is to create an environment where all of our our guests feel welcome, relaxed, and at home. To ensure the best possible stay for all, all guests are expected to use common sense, common courtesy, respect, and civility at all times. At Heart of the Village Inn™, there is no front desk, staff, concierges, porters, servants, bellboys, travel agents, personal assistants, or customers.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

For your convenience and reference, our basic policy information is available to you on this page; the full version is included in your confirmation email. We emphasize the importance of sharing all of this information with your travel companions early in the process for obvious reasons. (If you are a travel agent or a sponsor booking for someone else, it is your responsibility to secure the prospective guests' acceptance of our rules and policies. By making a reservation on someone else's behalf, you acknowledge that you secured such acceptance.) Acceptance of these policies is required in order to make a reservation for a stay at the Heart of the Village Inn™.

RESERVATION & CANCELLATION POLICIES

Reservations, Rates, & Payments:

  • Reservations must be made online.
  • Room rates only include overnight stays for the booked time frame in a selected room along with all amenities described on our website, full breakfast based on our menu for the guests listed on the reservation, as well as one unassigned parking spot parking for one standard-sized vehicle. Room rates exclude any other products or services.
  • Full payment is required at the time of making a reservation.​
  • All reservations are non-refundable. Canceled reservations may be rescheduled for a later date (excluding all major holidays and weekends in May, August, September, and October). Rescheduling fees may apply.


GENERAL POLICIES

By making and completing a reservation for a stay at the Heart of the Village Inn, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and completely accepted the Heart of the Village Inn's Terms, Rules and Policies listed below on behalf of all persons staying with us as part of your reservation.

Accessibility: Our historic Inn is not wheelchair accessible, does not have elevators, and only offers limited ground level accommodation options. Our private bathrooms do not have roll-in tub or showers and offer limited grab bar options.

Breakfast: Breakfast is offered to registered guests between 8:00 am and 9:30 am on an advanced reservation basis. Breakfast requests and specific time reservations must be made by 6:00 pm the day before.

Check-in: 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm local time. We require that you communicate your ETA to us at the time of making a reservation and keep us posted if it changes. A valid ID / credit card will be required at check-in. For reservations made using an American Express card, a Visa or a MasterCard credit card must be presented at check-in for any stay-related incidentals and fees. A $200 authorization hold will be placed on your card for validation purposes. Innkeepers are not available for after-hours check-in. Unauthorized late arrivals and no-shows are treated as non-refundable cancellations.

Check-out: 11:00 am local time. Without owner's prior approval, late check-out cannot be accommodated. Should a late check-out option (11am-1pm) be available, you agree to pay a $100 fee. Unauthorized late check-outs will incur a minimum full daily rate.

Children: We are not allow children. Minimum guest age is 18.

Housekeeping / Room Service in a traditional sense, including turn-down service, are not offered. We provide daily light room refreshment (limited to towel replacement and bathroom trash removal only). Each room is offered a full set of fresh towels per day on an as-needed basis. Additional towels are subject to an additional fee.

Parking: One complimentary un-assigned standard car sized parking spot per room/suite. Oversized vehicles and any additional vehicles will need to be parked across the street.

Pets, Emotional Support / Companion / Comfort Animals are not permitted anywhere on the Inn's grounds and premises. ADA service dogs are allowed. A service dog handler is expected to control their service animal at all times and observe all handler responsibilities. Handlers who are unable to control their service dogs will be asked to leave the Inn immediately. Service dogs may not be left alone without their handler's supervision.

Property Access:  Only registered guests listed on the reservation are allowed on the property grounds and in guestrooms. Property tours are not offered.

Shoes & Outerwear: We are a "no-shoes" property. Slippers / soft sole house shoes are welcome.

Smoking/Fumes:  All guestrooms and indoor areas of the property are non-smoking. Smoking outside is permitted - guests are responsible for proper smoking-related waste disposal.

Trash:  We are a carry-in/carry-out property. Dumpster/recycling are located behind the property. Should excessive trash be left in the room at check-out, the Innkeepers reserve the right to determine the final cleaning fee amount.

Should a guest violate any of Heart of the Village Inn rules and policies, a minimum $200.00 charge will apply, such guest's reservation may be canceled immediately without a refund, and such guest may be removed from the property immediately.
